January 2005

Greetings from Elizabeth

I'd like to wish all of you a wonderful and prosperous 2005!

This is the time of year when thoughts turn to making New Year resolutions and really making a change this year. But what happens? By the end of January 80% of New Year's resolutions are history. Why not make this year different? Set goals instead of resolutions. Setting goals, acting on them, and achieving them has changed my life. My business is a wonderful example of what happens when I set goals, work hard on them, and many of them I've achieved.

The best book I have read to help you in setting and achieving goals is "The Aladdin Factor" by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen (The Chicken Soup guys!). Do you really want to change your life? Get this book!

Three other books that I'm reading now and are making profound differences in my life are:

"The Success Principles" - Jack Canfield

"The Best Year of Your Life" - Debbie Ford
Quote from Debbie Ford - "Make a list of the excuses you use to justify the conditions in your life. Make the powerful choice to give up even your favorite, most justified excuse for why you can't have the best year of your life. Notice how much more effective you are when you align with your vision rather than your excuses." (www.bestyearofyourlife.com/specialoffer)

"Law of Attraction" - Michael J. Losier
(www.lawofattractionbook.com)

A definition of insanity is "doing the same things over and over and expecting different results". If your life isn't where you'd like it to be you are the only one who can change it.

Fast Tip

Want to spend less time in the kitchen? Start making double whenever you make a casserole. It doesn't take that much longer and you'll always have a 'spare' meal ready to go.

Another great way to always have meals ready is to do once-a-month cooking. There are various programs out there but the best one is my mind is "The 30-Day Gourmet Freezer Cooking Manual". The book describes in easy terms how to prepare for a one-day cooking spree that will give you a month's worth of meals in your freezer. The book includes great recipes and all the forms you need.

Are You Ready?

When prospective clients call me to find out how I can help them regain control of their home and office environments, I always ask them this question - "Are you ready?" They usually say "I think so" and then I ask again - "Are you ready to really make some changes in your life and get rid of what you don't need so you can have time and space for what's important in your life?" If they need to think about it I ask them to call me back when they've decided. You see it's not possible to make any dramatic changes in your life if you're trying because someone else said you should, or your best friend is so organized and you think you want to be like her. The desire and commitment has to come from deep inside of you.

Are you ready? If you are and you look around your home/office and are totally overwhelmed call me today! There is hope no matter how 'bad' you feel your situation is. I am totally confidential, nonjudgmental and will make organizing fun!
