Extraordinary Results June Newsletter 2006
Enjoy Life!

>> Personal Note

We were thrilled to attend our daughter, Abby's, graduation from Baylor University a few weeks ago. What a wonderful accomplishment and we are so proud of her. The graduation was over Mother's Day weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better gift than to have our entire family together.

To be honest I wasn't sure just what to expect at my ribbon cutting to announce my book "Organize with Confidence" on May 22 but it was SO much fun! There was a great turnout and I found out how supportive our Chamber of Commerce is. In the picture my husband and son are to my left and my parents are on the end holding the ribbon.
Are you enjoying the start of summer? Have you noticed that everyone is in a better mood in the beautiful weather and bright sun shine? I know that I am!

You can guess that I would say this but something else that really puts a smile on your face is to take back control of your home and office. Yes, get organized! I just love getting e-mails from attendees from my workshops. They share how motivated they were and all that they accomplished once they got back to their home or office. The joy just jumps out at me in the e-mail!
"I've really put your manual to use. I'm using the Daily Checklist, the Grocery/Meal planner, and I've even organized my home office. It's so nice and easy to use now. No piles of papers everywhere. I've even put together my family binder and I use the tickler everyday! Your advice has really made a difference. I'm less stressed and feel more at ease daily. Thank you so much!"

Why don't you make June the month to start getting organized and start smiling!!

     Enjoy Life!

      (Excerpted from Organize With Confidence)

We get joy not only from our relationships but also from those activities that we love to do. What do you love to do? I mean – really love to do? Have you noticed when you are doing that activity or work that life is good? That you are happy with yourself? That you are kinder to others?

Often there is something getting in the way of doing what you love to do. Perhaps you are focusing on an event from the past. Staying focused on the past can keep you paralyzed.

There is a story in the Bible about Lot and his wife and God told them they had to leave the sinful towns of Sodom and Gomorrah and to not look back. Lot was able to walk away but as his wife left the cities she turned back and was turned into a pillar of salt. This is what happens to us when we spend too much time looking back. We are frozen.

Of course we need to learn from the past and to remember these lessons but let's stop focusing on what's behind and start living in the present. Living in the present is where actions are taken and progress is achieved.

Is it time for you to start looking forward and start really enjoying your life? I hope so! Start today to deal with anything that has happened, make any changes you need to make, and start looking positively forward to the wonderful life you have!

Would you like more encouragement to have a great life? I have all the tools and strategies for you. You can read past issues of my newsletters and free articles at www.elizabethhagen.com/free_resources.html.

>> Quick Tip

Purchase a PTouch Brother labeler!! I'm not kidding. This has to be one of the best investments and tools that I have. After you get it take it out of the box and use it!! Start labeling every bin, basket, etc. that you can find and this will make putting items away so much easier. When I purchased my first one 15 years ago I used it so much my children were afraid I was going to label their name on their forehead! (Actually, not a bad idea when you have 5 children!)

>> Computer Tip

You need to do exactly the opposite of something that I did! I was on my Wells Fargo online banking site the other night and noticed that a large sum of money had been withdrawn from my checking account. I quickly called online banking and found out that I was a victim of online banking fraud!

It turns out that I had received a VERY official looking e-mail that I thought was from Wells Fargo telling me that my e-mail address had changed. So I went and changed my e-mail address back. It turns out that the e-mail was not from Wells Fargo and someone was able to access my account. Now, I know that one should never click on a link in an e-mail but I was SO sure that this was legitimate.

My advice to you (and to save you the headaches that I've been going through this past week) is to NEVER click on a link in an e-mail. Stay safe!!!
